Why Archipanels?

Transforming trash into elegant panels by and for professionals. How can you say no to such a value proposition?

Architects and designers don't have so many timeless options for their projects beyond painting or cladding with wood, stone or ceramic and certainly hardly with such a solid premise in sustainability as this one.

The market has been offering decorative panels for years (a word I don't like very much) but no one before Archipanels had come up with such a clear, differentiating, and disruptive purpose.

Inviting top professionals for the first time to create a signature collection that produces eco-sustainable panels has been a pioneering milestone and I am grateful to be part of this project.

Archipanels is designed to withstand the impact of time, with a focus on quality. Social responsibility and sustainable design play an essential role in our processes. Our production capacity and technical know-how allow for continuous innovation in our production, in the use of state-of-the-art machinery and in the adoption of demanding quality control and management systems. Sustainability is a commitment that the company pursues in all phases of the production cycle. Our journey towards sustainable design is an ongoing process, and by working with like-minded designers and architects, we ensure that our processes continue to advance to minimize the environmental impact of our collection.

What makes us different?

Focus.

There are many companies that produce shapes, designs, and reliefs but without solid criteria. They may have knowledge of the market but without a cultural background they cannot create a love brand between architects and international designers.

How do you value sustainability in your projects?

I consider that sustainability is not a fashion, it is a conclusion. We have a responsibility to get involved between the industry and the environment to improve the deterioration to which we have subjected it.

As an engineer I wish to have one day a specialty related to re-construction, a specific training to minimize the impact we have generated to our planet and even visually repair the aberrations made.

I think we have too much greenwashing, eco-posturing, and we must demand that companies demonstrate their real commitment to the traceability of their actions. For all these reasons I fell in love with Archipanels because sustainability is implicit in the 360º of the company.

Recycled & Recyclable

Recycled & Recyclable

RECYCLED AND RECYCLABLE

At Achipanels we had a dream, to recycle industrial waste into elegant paneling.

Our collection is 100% recyclable, and our goal is to get the percentage of recycled material used in its manufacture is increasing, so they are labeled with the percentage of waste used. We work with the minimum possible number of natural resources looking to give a second chance to materials in disuse causing the minimum possible impact to our planet.

DESIGNED AND MANUFACTURED TO LAST

Archipanels works in collaboration with the most recognized international designers with the ambition to create high quality panels, focusing on timeless appeal and a "built to last" mentality, therefore sustainability is part of our day to day, it drives our decision making, our processes, our designs and our work ethic.

We understand that we have a responsibility to limit the impact of our panels and a duty to work towards a more sustainable future. We are fully aware of the impact our industry has on local and global communities. We strive to further reduce our ecological footprint, and are committed to creating durable, sustainable and ethically sourced panels that will provide differentiation for many years to come.

HOW?

PU foam waste can be milled and reprocessed into other panels, including the option of creating chemical recycling. The term chemical recycling describes the conversion of polyurethanes to produce polyols for second life applications. Three technologies have been developed: hydrolysis, amylolysis, and glycolysis. The main raw material for our panels is polyurethane, and to optimize the carbon footprint, it contains sustainable polyurethane-based composite with shredded plastic bottle waste (PET).

Believing in taking care of the planet for future generations, we have a firm commitment to increase the percentage of recycled material year after year.

WE INTERVIEW ERRE ARQUITECTURA

ERRE is an architectural firm based in Valencia, Spain.

Formed by a great team of professionals working in the development of residential, educational, sports and public projects for over 20 years. It understands architecture from the humility, passion, and respect. Each new project is a new challenge with which to give a functional architectural solution to improve the life of the user who enjoys it.

Why Archipanels?

When we received the invitation to participate as designers in the Archipanels experience, ERRE had no doubt that we were facing a unique and innovative idea.

Archipanels is the result of a clear and firm commitment to quality, sustainable and differentiating design.

A simple but transgressive idea that provides functional and aesthetic solutions within the design products for surface coverings.

It is a product that, in addition, has a production process that uses the most advanced technology to achieve an excellent and high-quality result.

Creativity, sustainability and innovation united in a unique product.

What makes us different?

Archipanels manages to provide an innovative solution within the world of cladding and paneling, offering the user a wide range of aesthetic possibilities with which to create pleasant, comfortable, and elegant spaces.

From its materiality, which allows a wide range of geometric possibilities, to its environmentally friendly production process, Archipanels becomes a unique and necessary product in the market.

A product that has also considered the current climate emergency in which we are immersed, incorporating sustainability parameters and criteria into its production system to reduce the carbon footprint and measure the traceability of the products reused in its manufacture.

For all these reasons, Archipanels is an intelligent solution that has managed to strike a balance between the responsibility of satisfying current market demands and the responsibility of caring for the health of the planet and people.

How do you value sustainability in your projects?

For the ERRE arquitectura team, each project is an opportunity to achieve quality designs with a positive impact on the lives of people and our planet.

Sustainability has always been, therefore, an indispensable and strategic requirement from which to establish strategies based on traditional and innovative solutions that allow us to minimize the environmental footprint of the architectural designs we produce.

Each project is an opportunity to respond to current climate demands, as well as an opportunity to make a double commitment: to the planet and to the users who will make use of the buildings we design, generating a positive impact on their lives.

In this sense, in the last residential projects we have designed and completed in Valencia, the measures adopted in terms of sustainability have enabled users to save 80% in energy consumption and a 90% reduction in CO2 emissions.

When we learned of Archipanels' firm commitment to creating a sustainable product, it was clear to us that it was a fantastic opportunity to get involved in a project whose environmental commitment is totally aligned with the values we try to apply in our architecture.
