DUNE at the Meliá Ria Hotel, Aveiro

DUNE at the Meliá Ria Hotel, Aveiro

A HOTEL BLENDED INTO THE LANDSCAPE

Some cities are best understood by walking their streets. Aveiro is best understood by following the water. Nestled among the canals and the landscape of the estuary, the Meliá Ria Hotel & Spa enjoys a prime location on Cais da Fonte Nova, very close to the historic center.

Designed as a meeting point between urban life, the landscape, and well-being, the hotel extends this connection with its surroundings into its spa area, where relaxation, tranquility, and self-care become an essential part of the experience.

RELIEF AS A SENSORY EXPERIENCE

In the project developed by Traços Interiores, the DUNE panel by Kensaku Oshiro fits particularly well within the spa’s relaxation area.

Its vertical relief, blue finish, and the way the lighting flows across each surface bring Aveiro’s aquatic character indoors, creating a serene, enveloping atmosphere that is deeply connected to the surroundings.

ARCHITECTURE, ENVIRONMENT, AND NATURAL LIGHT

Designed by Kensaku Oshiro, DUNE emerges from a large curved surface that explores the relationship between architecture, the environment, and natural light.

At the Meliá Ria Hotel, the panel envelops the space, complements the fluid lines of the furniture, and transforms the walls into a continuous architectural form, where texture and light create a sense of calm.

DESIGN AND MATERIALS AT FEEL ROOM

Archipanels is expanding its international presence by joining FEEL ROOM, Patiris’s showroom in Palaio Faliro, GREECE, designed to showcase materials, textures, and finishes to architects, interior designers, and industry professionals.

The showroom offers an immersive experience where architects, interior designers, and clients can explore each surface through a sensory and direct approach, discovering its potential applications in architectural, interior design, and contemporary design projects.

DESIGN FOR EXPERIMENTATION

FEEL ROOM was created as a space dedicated to the exploration of materials, where surfaces are no longer perceived merely as samples but become part of a more complete spatial experience.

The presence of Archipanels allows visitors to closely explore the volume, texture, and interplay of our panels with light, demonstrating how each design can be integrated into contract, hospitality, retail, or residential projects.

A MEETING WITH PROFESSIONALS

The opening brought together professionals from the fields of architecture and interior design for an event dedicated to design, innovation, and the new possibilities offered by the material.

This event strengthens our partnership with Patiris, the distributor of Archipanels in Greece, and with Panagiotis Drikos, our representative in the country and a key figure in the brand’s development within this market.

DESIGN FOR WELL-BEING

The González Font Clinic, located in Málaga and designed by Lago Interioriza, offers a new take on healthcare spaces, where functionality, identity, and well-being are all part of the same concept.
The project transforms the maxillofacial clinic into a thoughtful and inviting environment, designed to convey a sense of calm and confidence from the very first interaction, without compromising the technical requirements of its practice.

DUNE AS PART OF SPACE

In this project, DUNE by Kensaku Oshiro blends into the clinic’s architectural language, adding texture, continuity, and a serene material presence.

Its large-scale geometry creates a subtle and balanced surface that complements the architecture without overpowering it and enriches the perception of space through volume and light.

ACCOMPANYING MATERIAL

The incorporation of DUNE helps create a warmer, more sensory atmosphere, moving the healthcare space away from an overly cold or impersonal aesthetic.

In this project, the panel goes beyond its decorative function to become an active part of the experience, reinforcing the clinic’s identity and the precise character of the interior design developed by Lago Interioriza.

A NEW HEADQUARTERS WITH ITS OWN IDENTITY

OCN new headquarters in Castellón, designed by ERRE, embodies the company's identity in an open, flexible corporate environment that is equipped to handle today's new work dynamics.
The project combines collaborative zones, meeting rooms, focus areas, and more public spaces, creating a functional architectural design in which every decision enhances the overall experience, coherence, and character of the space.

TESSEL AS THE CENTERPIECE

At the entrance to the new headquarters, Tessel by ERRE stands as a central architectural feature, enveloping the main staircase and visually linking the different floors.

Its triangular geometry, created through modular repetition, generates a large-scale composition with a distinct and recognizable presence. The panel adds texture, depth, and material continuity, integrating seamlessly into the project’s architectural language.

GEOMETRY, LIGHT, AND MOVEMENT

Inspired by ceramic mosaics and the tradition of Nolla flooring, Tessel is constructed from slanted volumes that change depending on the angle of the light and the viewer’s perspective.

Light and shadow play across its different faces, creating gradations and visual effects that make the surface appear differently throughout the day. More than just a cladding material, Tessel functions as a distinct element with its own identity within the architecture.

DESIGNER STYLE APPLIED TO SPACE

Designed by the same studio behind the project, Tessel by ERRE establishes a direct dialogue between product and architecture. Its presence reinforces the character of the headquarters and demonstrates how a panel can go beyond a decorative function to become an active part of the space.

A versatile and expressive solution made from recycled material, designed for corporate and contract projects, as well as spaces where materiality plays an essential role.
