DUNE

by KENSAKU OSHIRO

Nowadays. sustainability is a main issue and, as a designer, it is inevitable to deal with this theme.

In particular, building materials, such as wall coverings, have a stronger impact on the environment."

DUNE goes beyond the sole decorative purpose exploring the relationship between man-environment-architecture and their harmony, with a specific focus on how natural Light affects the surroundings.

With the utilization of sustainable materials, along with Archipanel's large-format manufacturing technology, I imagined a wall covering system with a wide curved surface, synthesizing aesthetic and optimization of material. Interacting with the environmental light, combined with its smooth. finish, it creates soft gradual shadows enhancing the space.

Our panels are supplied without their finishes, with the colour of their base and recycled particles, making them very easy to assemble and putty.

The subsequent co!our application can be done simply by roller or spray to match the rest of the colours of the architectural space, creating endless colour and texture options.

INFORMATION AND TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS

Material: Sustainable polyurethane with shredded waste from waste plastic bottles (PET). 100% recyclable and 35% recycled.
Dimensions: 600 mm x 2800 mm x 45 mm.
Weight: 13,2 kg
Usage: Indoor, suitable for ceilings, outdoor

The designs presented in this publication are the property of ARCHIPANELS, S.L. and are protected by Industrial Design and Copyright. The images are representative, and there may be slight variations in tone and texture compared to the actual panels.

Archipanels panels present tolerances inherent to the manufacturing process:

    • General dimension tolerance: ±5 mm
    • Design/aesthetic detail tolerance: ±3 mm

Our panels are manufactured using a sustainable production system. Any minor imperfection, including those that may arise from transportation or handling, can be easily repaired with standard filler, similar to next-generation plaster.

Once installed, the panels can be filled and repainted, making them easy to maintain and extending their lifespan.

ARCHIPANELS markets the panels without fireproof certification. If you require fire-resistant panels, an appropriate treatment must be applied after installation and before the final painting. See details in our installation instructions.

The images used in catalogs and on the website may have been taken on real construction sites, in studios, or generated through computer graphics. This may cause slight differences in color or texture perception. We recommend requesting physical samples from your area sales representative to validate finishes before making final decisions.

GRADIENT by Cory Grosser english

GRADIENT

by CORY GROSSER

"Like most American boys of my generation, I collected baseball trading cards. One particularly coveted baseball card changed when viewed from different angles. This was often used to show a player in action, like swinging the bat for example.

That type of printing is called Lenticular and it allows a still image to change appearances when viewed from different angles. This idea led me to create my ARCHIPANELS collection in which the panels have a different aesthetic based on the viewing angle. This would allow for example a wall to be perceived differently as you walk in different directions.

As is common in my work, the goal of the project was to achieve an interesting experiential effect with minimal forms and simple graphic compositions.

This project is uniquely suited to ARCHIPANELS because of the company's ability to manufacture panels with greater dimensional depth."

Likewise, it's important to note that sustainability is an important part of the project.

The first thing architects and designers can do to create a more eco-friendly built environment is to use the principles of good design to discourage short-term disposal design. The next is to try and increase the use of recycled content in the projects that we create. As the fust company committed to large-scale recycled architectural surfaces and premium design, we were able to achieve our goals.

Inspired by random geometry yet encored to a grid, Geo is a visual manifestation of evolution and creativity.

Its anti-fragile arrangement enhance the notion of stability and majestic confidence.

ARIK LEVY

"Creation is an uncontrolled muscle" according to Arik Levy (born 1963).

Artist, technician, photographer, designer, video artist, Levy's skills are multi–disciplinary and his work can be seen in prestigious galleries and museums worldwide. Best known publicly for his sculptures – such as his signature Rock pieces –, his installations, limited editions and design, Levy nevertheless feels "The world is about people, not objects.

Hailing originally from Israel and moving to Europe after his first participation in a group sculpture exhibition in Tel–Aviv in 1988, Levy currently works in his studio in Paris.

His formation was unconventional where surfing, as well as his art and graphic design studio, took up much of his time back home. Following studies at the Art Center Europe in Switzerland he gained a distinction in Industrial Design in 1991.

After a stint in Japan where he consolidated his ideas producing products and pieces for exhibitions, Levy returned to Europe where he contributed his artistry to another field – contemporary dance and opera by way of set design.

The creation of his firm then meant a foray back to his first love, art and industrial design, as well as other branches of his talents. Respected for his furniture and light designs on all continents, Levy also creates hi–tech clothing lines and accessories for firms in the Far East.

Considering himself now more of a "feeling" artist, Arik Levy continues to contribute substantially to our interior and exterior milieu, his work including public sculpture, as well as complete environments that can be adapted for multi use. "Life is a system of signs and symbols," he says, "where nothing is quite as it seems."

ONA by Fran Silvestre

ONA

by FRAN SILVESTRE

Like lines traced by the wind on water or sand, the geometry of the ONA panel reminds us of elements found in nature.

The tracing that gives rise to these pieces generates very soft shadows that by way of repetition maintain a constant rhylhm.

It is a design marked by its verticality which is formed by very slender curved pieces of different and changing radii.

Our panels are supplied without their finishes, with the colour of their base and recycled particles, making them very easy to assemble and putty.

The subsequent co!our application can be done simply by roller or spray to match the rest of the colours of the architectural space, creating endless colour and texture options.
